Navig8 – Xcellr8 2021 – What a great weekend!

We approached our XcellR8 2021 online weekend with some trepidation aware of many things that could go wrong! But wow, what a great success!

Please pass on a massive thank you to all the team who put the weekend on. My daughter wasn’t at all sure if she wanted to join an online weekend but once she had done the first session was so excited and loved each and every session. It was so special to see her so lit up about something when she has found the last few months quite sad. To hear her telling me about the sessions and so encouraged to think about her faith journey has brought a tear to my eye. My husband heard her putting her hand up and wanting to pray in her small group which normally she would be too shy to do within her church group. I am praising God that she went to this weekend. Thank you so much. This afternoon she was looking for a spare backpack so that she could fill it as her prayer bag. I am feeling very blessed that she had this opportunity.

36 children aged 8-11 booked into our Navig8 weekend which explored what it means to have a faith journey with Jesus. The children were fantastic, attentive, thoughtful and participated fully which was so encouraging.

Our 4 main sessions focused on the Road to Emmaus and included teaching, worship, drama and small groups. Two additional fun, games and quiz sessions resulted in a full-on weekend that children just couldn’t miss!

 (our daughter) was completely insistent on being at every minute of every session, despite the lure of distractions at home and other weekend relaxing!
