Inspire Prayer Spaces

Inspire Prayer Spaces is an initiative that enables Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils to explore values, faith and spirituality from a broadly Christian perspective in a safe, creative and interactive way.

Inspire Prayer Spaces

Inspire Prayer Spaces brings a range of flexible resources and reflective activity stations to transform a school or church area into a sanctuary of calm. Each prayer space has a theme which encourages pupils to consider their own views, beliefs, emotions and experiences in a safe environment. Previous theme have included remembrance, Christmas, Easter, the Lord’s Prayer and me and my community.

Inspire Prayer Spaces make a recognised contribution to pupils’ learning as part of the RE curriculum, spiritual development and well-being.

Inspire aims to work in partnership with local churches to support schools in having an Inspire Prayer Space day. We are also supported by the Church Schools of Cambridge and are part of the Prayer Spaces in Schools regional network.

See our resources page for Inspire activities that could be used individually with children or in small groups. Resources page.
